It has been some time since I've posted anything on this site.
Truth be told, I don't know what kind of direction I want to steer the site towards. I have been kicking around the idea of picking out a different theme, as I'm not sure this theme is exactly what I wanted it to be. Also, I don't like having to press on a menu button on desktop. That's just bad UX.
Also, I have swapped the site from Vultr to DigitalOcean. When I had first switched to Vultr, you got more hardware for the price, but that is no longer the case. I like DigitalOcean's management portal much more, and I was not as intimiately familiar with CentOS as I was with Ubuntu. The new server runs Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and I've quite enjoyed the switch. I have always used Ubuntu-derived distributions on my personal computers, so I feel right at home.
At any rate, I've had a few drafted posts in the works for a long while. I always want to evangelize Vue.js, although I am in the process of learning React. I've been working more with TensorFlow via Keras, and I'm very much enjoying the prospect of machine learning. I'm always playing with new and different hardware - I sold my 12" MacBook and went back to using my old ThinkPad T420, running Windows 10 and Pop!_OS 18.04 by System76 (which pairs excellently with my now Ubuntu-based server, and runs Gnome which has always been my favorite desktop environment). I've been playing the absolute hell out of my Nintendo Switch. So, there's a few things to talk about.
Expect to see some changes to the site soon. And, with some renewed motivation, some more frequent posts.
